I have a background and strong interest in atmospheric science and, more specifically, micrometeorology. I developed my strong micrometeorological interest during my M.S. studies, where I had the opportunity to work hands-on with routine meteorological and eddy covariance instrumentation. During my Ph.D. studies in Zürich, Switzerland, I was able to extend my interest in field work and in situ instrumentation to the Arctic by developing and establishing the Tundra Rainfall Experiment in northeastern Siberia. My Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies have thus far been focused on characterizing energy and carbon fluxes in a changing climate.
